We are happy and proud to announce, that the very first band we ever booked for KIT will perform on KIT X with a special show: DOOMSWORD will play for the very first time ever a few songs with the singer (Nightcomer) from the first album. I think this will be a very special thing for all DOOMSWORD freaks.
Also we can announce that mexican thrashers STRIKEMASTER (www.myspace.com/strikemaster666) will play on the KIT X Friday which is now complete.
Also, since we heard some rumors already, we like to confirm the special guest of the JAG PANZER show. It will be Bob Parduba, who sang on the “Chain Of Command” album.
The two day tickets will cost 30 Euro plus postage and will hopefully available in a few weeks. We will keep you posted on that.

Since we got tons of emails concerning the limited amount of tickets for the friday show in april 2008, we decided to do both days now at the big hall in Lauda-Koenigshofen, so we will have enough tickets for all the fans wanting to come to KIT. So we will strengthen up the Friday a lot more and it won’t be a warm up show anymore. We will do this only for our jubileum KIT X as a special gift for all the true underground fans from all over the world. We will now have 6 or 7 bands playing on friday with starting time 4 or 5 pm. We will only sell tickets for both days for 30 Euro and there will be daily tickets only at the doors. Presale will beginn on November 3rd 2007 at KIT 9. We will have four (!) bands worth being the headliner on the Friday, so it will be a crushing show. Here is already the first addition to the Friday:

| There have been no news on KIT due to the fact that Oliver's wife gave birth to their first child earlier than planned and they were totally busy with that. But now we have a not so positive news for you, cause unfortunately ARTILLERY had to cancel their show at KIT due to problems with the singer and bassist. The Stützer brothers want to express, that they are also dissappointed that they couldn’t work it out finally. Since there is not much time to book a good new band, we decided to put DESTRUCTOR on the position of ARTILLERY. This will make lots of fans happy that couldn’t get a ticket for the Friday show. The band will play a full headlining show on Friday and replace ARTILLERY on the Saturday and play some different songs than on friday. I hope you all will be satisfied with our decision. Next week we will also announce the complete running order including playing times on our homepage. |

First of all best wishes for christmas and the new year from the complete KEEP IT TRUE team. We also want to thank you for the immense support through all the years. We will always stay true to the direction and hope we can present many good billings for the future. But we also have some further news:
1. In cooperation with the young label NEW IRON AGE RRCORDS we will release a special vinyl 7" series with songs of two bands with historical KIT performances. The first one will already be available at KIT 8 in April with a high quality gatefold sleeve. More details on the bands involved will follow soon. 2. DEFENDER will play a very special show with all 8 musicians ever involved in DEFENDER and play the songs in the line ups as they were recorded. 3. DESTRUCTOR are right now recording their new album and KIT fans will be the very first people who can purchase it, cause the street day will be April 13th at KIT itself. 4. The date for KIT 9 is already confirmed. It will be November 3rd 2007. Again it will be at the Sportshall Dittigheim as last time at KIT 7. We already booked three bands for that. After that the traders will put their stuff out and at 4:00 pm the hall will open for the concert. You find the running order here. We have sad news. FLOTSAM & JETSAM have cancelled their complete european tour including their gig at KEEP IT TRUE festival. Here is the statement from drummer Craig Nielsen:
"Just checking in to explain the European tour cancellation, as the agents who I expected to give a reason in their press release apparently failed to do so. A.K. applied some time ago, long before the tour was being put together, for acceptance into a helicoptor flight training academy in Arizona. He wants to be a helicoptor fire fighter which is an amazing career goal at this point in his life. Ambition does not begin to describe the scope of this undertaking. There is an extreme amount of study, determination, commitment, concentration and BALLS that are required to make it through the education. The thing was,nobody really thought he would be approved for the very large loan for the enrollment. Fortunately for him he was, although somewhat after the dates in Europe were being finalized. The band very much regrets having to postpone this tour. The Bang Your Head festival 3 months ago was a GREAT time for this band and we really were ready to take Europe by storm on this November tour. The band will definitely attempt to reschedual as soon as school for A.K.winds down. The band sincerely apologises to EVERY single person who was involved with attempting tomake this happen,and of course most of all to all of our fans that were disappointed with the latest news. The band has nothing but love for ALL OF YOU!! Flots Til Death!!" We are extremely disappointed by this decision and think, that the band acted very unprofessional and it is a real slap in the face especially for their old fans. If there is a chance, that a band cannot do a tour, they should not sign contracts. We as KEEP IT TRUE will not ask the band again to come over and play at the festival. At this moment we try to get a worthy replacement for the band and hope to announce them as soon as possible. |

Thanks to all our fans and helpers for a fantastic and peaceful KIT VI. We are still very emotional about great musical moments and are really proud to have such great bands at our festival. Everybody who was there yesterday should have seen the billing for KIT VII on November 4th 2006. As we told you earlier, this will be the litte “smaller” edition of the festival and we can sell only 500 tickets. We already sold 300 tickets yesterday and so there are only 200 ticket left for sale. You can order the tickets from the beginning of next week on.

first of all a happy new metallic year to all the KIT supporters. The KEEP IT TRUE VI billing is now complete and I think it holds some suprises. First of all we decided to get another band on the Saturday and that will be GRIM REAPER with their amazing vocalist Steve Grimmet. This will be a real GRIM REAPER show and not like the gig they played in Wacken some years ago. Further on we finally have the headliner for the Friday show and that will be British legends DEMON, which is a huge honour for us to have them. In addition to that SEVEN WITCHES with former SAVATAGE guitarrist Jack Frost and former HADES/WATCHTOWER singer Alan Tecchio, will also perform on the Friday. So finally KEEP IT TRUE VI is complete and we hope we can again present you a great package of traditional Heavy Metal.

First of all we wish all the KIT fans a merry christmas and a happy new year.
Unfortunately we have to cancel HIRAX from our Warm Up show, cause the complete instrumental part left HIRAX and cancelled their japanese tour. Also singer Katon is not answering to our mails since over one month ans so we are forced to cancel HIRAX. We are working on a high quality replacement at the moment and hope to present them and the last remaining band for friday to you already this year.
Also our DVD from KEEP IT TRUE 1 is sold out at our webshop. If you have luck you can find the last copies at several mailorders. As we won’t reprint them they and the other dvds will get collectors items in the future.
As you may have realized, there is a big wave of low budget cd bootlegs going around in the scene at the moment. We do not want to support this and we will tell all the traders at the KIT metal market not to sell these cheap and low quality cd bootlegs. I think you will all be happy about our decision, cause with these rip off cds some people earn a lot of money and fans get screwed by paying a lot of money for lowest quality lp rips.

First of all, the tickets for the warm up show are getting rare. We only have under 50 tickets left and it seems there won’t be tickets available at the evening. So if you want to go there, order them in advance on our website or at our helping mailorders. Also we want to tell you, that we decided to change something in the KIT schedule. It will be like this: There will be only one big KIT in April with Warm Up show. On the november date we will do a little smaller festival in the sportshall Dittigheim, where now the Warm Up shows are. There will be 5-6 high quality bands playing there. We will try to do this rhythm from 2006 on. We took this step, cause we simply do not have the time to do two big festivals in one year anymore. We both have our regular jobs and see this festival as our hobby and do it for our passion for this music. We want to avoid, that KIT will get into a machinery, where we do not have fun anymore and just consider it as normal work. Every April there will be a KIT in all its shining glory and I think all of you will also accept the even more underground november date. We got really bad news. Unfortunately SOLITUDE AETURNUS cannot play at KIT and all the other planned dates in Europe. The cause for that is, that the wife of bassist Steve is expecting her first child on that date and the band does not want to come over without him. For us it is really a hard strike, cause the band was a highly important part of the billing. At the end of this mail, there is also a statement of guitarist John Perez. We now are hard at work booking another great heavy metal band, that can replace SOLITUDE AETURNUS and it looks really good at the moment, that we can. We hope to announce that next week. Again we are really sorry and disappointed about the situation, but we hope to get the band for the April 2006 date. That is all we can do at the moment.
John Perez Statement: Hail Solitude Aeturnus fellowship! A much needed state of the union address to all of our HEAVY music friends all over the world. This is a bit wordy and as such it’s not really intended for massive posting on blabbermouth or the sort. This is more or less intended for the die hard SA fans that have been patient enough to stick with us during several dark years of inactivity and wish to know our plans and doings. So… I have always maintained a sense of pride and comfort in our bands lineup over the years. I don’t like change. In 2001 when Edgar Rivera told me that he was no longer interested in doing SA or any music at all anymore my heart sank as I believed it to be the end of SA simply because I didn’t want to do it without him. We had been slowly writing new material over the course of a year after taking some time off. So for the next year we sat idle doing lots of nothing and uncertain to a point as to what to do. After much encouragement and METAL attitude bassist Steve Moseley convinced me that there was no reason to stop writing SA styled metal. After all, I had started the band and the original focus and vision was still intact. With Steve Moseley taking over the guitar spot left vacant by Edgar we spent much of 2002 finishing up these new songs and creating even more. Robert went through a dark period during this time which made rehearsals with him difficult if not impossible. Finally to 2003 and by fall our friend and drummer John “Wolf” Covington decided to exit the band. His time had just come to take a break from drums and focus on other things in his life. Of course both are brothers in SA metal and we always wish them the best in anything they pursue. So – pretty f’d up eh? After Covington’s departure we searched for a replacement drummer and now bass player (to fill Steve’s shoes). For most of 2004 we rehearsed and played with Kurt Joye (ex Arcane) on bass and David Header on drums. This is the line up that recorded the Waiting for the Light, Scent of Death and Sightless demo (Waiting on Olympic sampler, other track samples on SA website). A quick demo done in David’s bedroom studio gave us hope that things were still happening. One thing leads to another and we find ourselves working with a new drummer and bassist since April of 2005. As we now rehearse a set list for an upcoming gig, we’ll return after July 16th and plan a few more weeks of rehearsal before we enter the studio to finally record our new album, “Alone”. Our talks with Massacre are beginning this week to finalize the new album and the deal. We are proud to announce our new drummer in the form of Steve Nichols, who had ironically jammed with Perez and company a few times in the very early days of the band! A powerful and ultra solid METAL player Nichols’ intense delivery will no doubt compliment the SA sound in much the same way as Covington has in the past. Also on bass is the esteemed James Martin who is another monster player and has made the rounds with Concept of God and Michael Harris to name a few! And let’s not forget the weapon we have known as Steve Moseley! His guitar playing is equal to Mr. Rivera’s with his own brand and style that fits in with SA perfectly. And there’s still Robert on vox and myself on guitar. We can only assure you that our new material is of the highest quality. We wouldn’t continue if we felt otherwise. We have twelve songs and approximately 8 will make it on the album making this the first time we’ve ever had a surplus of material recorded during a session. So, in a nutshell – we’ve been trying but as you can see it’s been difficult. I understand the feelings that fans get when members leave bands but if you’ve heard the demo track samples and “Waiting for the Light” you’ll see that there is not much difference in our signature style and sound. This is something that concerns me as it’s easy to get worried that things might not be the same without the old members. At this point however, I am no longer personally worried. The sound is heavier than ever and the songs are pleasing to our ears. The above is a general scenario of our situation and I won’t bore you with any personal details of how each of our personal lives has affected the situation as well but again, it hasn’t been easy. Lastly we know this will be bad news for everyone including ourselves but we have to cancel our Keep it True appearance this year and all shows surrounding those dates. Our guitarist and wife Petra are having a child and the due date is on that the same day as Keep it True! We can’t blame Steve for wanting to be there to witness the birth of his first born so we have no choice but to reschedule our shows for early in the year 2006. We are truly sorry for this and we don’t mean to be a “flaky” band but these things will come up. Expect another update shortly after our show in San Antonio for Robb’s Metalworks Showcase. We’ll give a few studio reports as the album is in progress. Thanks for all of your support over such a dark time.
